With all the cookware on the market, buying new pots and pans can be more confusing than buying a new car — and sometimes, it seems, almost as expensive.

Now there’s a Web site that can walk you through the decisions from beginning to end: www.YourCookwareHelper.com addresses the pros and cons of the various materials and brands — addressing concerns such as food safety in the process — and then produces a chart comparing online prices for your pot or skillet of choice.

The site doesn’t sell any of the cookware, nor is it affiliated with any cookware maker, and it’s free (registration required).
