Seventy-five percent of Americans have Pyrex glass products in their kitchens. As of 1915, all Pyrex glass products have been made at the Pyrex plant in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. In 1995, Pyrex further expanded their product lines by introducing Pyrex Portables bakeware. This secure glass food transportation system includes an insulated carrying bag and hot and cold packs to allow consumers to take their food with them to bake sales and dinner parties, or anywhere their busy, on-the-go lifestyle may take them. The Pyrex Portables come in a 3 quart oblong with a blue or black carrier, or a 4 ½ quart party bowl with a black carrier. Hot pack is included and cold pack can be substituted to keep foods chilled. HOW TO KEEP FOOD HOT: To use the Pyrex Portables to keep food hot, first you'll cook your dish in the 7 x 11 inch glass baker. It's safe in any pre-heated oven or convection oven. Take food straight from the oven and secure with the snap-on plastic lid. The covered baker then goes into the insulated carrier with all of your utensils and napkins. Heat the hot pack in the microwave and then slip it in the bag's top to keep food hot until ready to serve. The Pyrex glass baker is safe in the microwave as well, if you need to re-heat. If you must prepare food in advance, your Pyrex glass baker is safe from refrigerator or freezer to microwave. HOW TO KEEP FOOD COLD: Prepare your food and then place in the Pyrex baker. The Pyrex glass is safe in your refrigerator or freezer. It's non-reactive to your foods, which is useful for fruity desserts and acidic marinades. You'll then secure the food with the snap-on lid, place in the carrier, place utensils and napkins inside, and place the cold pack in the pocket on top. WARRANTY AND OTHER INFORMATION:
