The stainless steel lids are polished on the interior and exterior, and are made to fit deeply within each vessel.  KitchenAid Stainless steel clad cookware is oven safe to 500 degrees Fahrenheit and is dishwasher safe as well.

KitchenAid became a name in 1919, when the company introduced the first electrically driven device for grinding food from coffee beans to red meat. Since then, the company has expanded its presence in the kitchen; they now sell innovative products from commercial grade cooktops to wine cellars along with their electrical appliances.   Quality cookware, bakeware, and accessories are now just as important to the KitchenAid name as any other part of their brand.

KitchenAidStainlessSteelSet.jpgKitchenAid Stainless steel clad cookware is popular and well reviewed at Amazon. Shoppers give the 9 piece set 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. One reviewer says, "I have owned this set of pans for 6 years now and I would buy them again and again.  Great weight, cook evenly, and they still look wonderful.  I agree with another reviewer that the key to making these pans look new again is to clean with a sponge using a stainless steel cleaner.  The only note is that the lid handles DO get hot so be prepared to leave a pot holder/handle holder on lid."

Another says, "GREAT COOKWARE - nobody who's used it would argue, and I also have some All-Clad pieces - the Kitchenaid actually cooks more evenly!"
