The Farberware restaurant pro cookware is one of their restaurant-style lines. Farberware restaurant pro cookware has a durable Teflon Platinum nonstick interior made for easy cooking, easy cleanup, and it is scratch and cut resistant. It is available in 8, 10, 12 and 14 inch Open French skillets or an 11 inch griddle. Other items like a 3 ½ quart open Windsor are also available. Dupont makes the Teflon that has a resistance to high temperatures, corrosion, cracking, chemical reactions (making it nonreactive to cooking food), and it is low-friction as well. Teflon Platinum nonstick is known for its toughness that makes it ideal for home or restaurant cooking, and particularly effective for high volume kitchens.
Handles are nonslip silicone. Farberware restaurant pro cookware is NSF certified which guarantees the highest performance standards. It's safe in your oven up to 400 degrees. In order to maintain this cookware it must be hand washed in warm water, it is NOT safe in your dishwasher. Farberware has been a part of innovation in cookware technology for decades. The company is the brainchild of S.W. Farber, a tinsmith who began creating pots and pans in 1900 on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Eventually he expanded his business to include gift sets and accessories that were silver-plated, nickel-plated and chrome plated. By the 1930's, Farber was experimenting with revolutionary new devices including coffee pots that kept coffee warm for hours, to a stainless steel electric fry pan with an aluminum bottom. In the 1960's he even created an open hearth. Now, the company boasts over 100 years in the cookware industry.
