The Farbeware Classic Series cookware is the largest product line at Farberware. Farberware Classic Series gives the cook a “full cap base”—this stainless steel protector surrounds an aluminum core that is made for perfect heat conductivity and distribution to create a great surface for cooking. It comes in a new 9 piece, or the familiar 10, 15, 16, or 17 piece set. You can also purchase twin skillet packs (8 and 10 inch). Twenty separates are available. Separates include the 6 quart covered Jumbo chef's pan, or a 1, 2, or 3 quart covered saucepan. Other Classic Series separates include the 4 quart covered saucepot, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 16 quart covered stockpot, the 1, 1 1/2 and 3 quart covered straining saucepot, the 8 quart covered straining saucepot, the 12 inch covered saute with helper handle, and a 10 inch covered fry pan. Farberware bundles the 3 quart steamer set and a 3 quart saucepot and steamer. A double boiler and butter warmer are also available.

DishwasherSafe.gifThe Farberware Classic Series lids are close fitting which is intended to create a self-basting feature that makes foods taste great while keeping in the nutrients. Pan rims are now rolled for extra durability and to make pouring easier, and drip free. The handles are styled phenolic that stay cool on an oven top and can survive up to 350 degrees inside your oven safely. The Classic Series Accessories line is available for one to purchase extra glass or stainless steel lids. Percolators, roasting pans, and tea kettles are available too.

The Farberware classic series 18/10 stainless steel is dishwasher safe.

FarberwareClassicSeriesPot.jpgThe Farberware Classic Series has a lot of reviews at Amazon, and they're mostly 4 to 5 stars with the ten piece set receiving slightly worse at 3 stars. A 4 star reviewer says of the 10 piece set, “I love the Farberware cookware . The pots are perfect. The only "problem" and the reason for 4 not 5 stars is the nonstick pans. I hate the nonstick surface because they scratch and can leave toxins in the food.”

A five star reviewer of the Farberware Classic 15 piece set says, “Not much has changed in 37 years! I needed a new set of pans and wanted a non-Teflon set. I didn't even bother looking at those expensive $400 sets; I looked right in my mom's pots and pans cupboard. She has the same Faberware set she received for her wedding in 1968. My thoughts were, I can't go wrong her set looks as good as new!”
