CorningWare Traditions is extremely versatile and comes in two appealing, soothing tones with a classic style. The French inspired fluted design with vintage patinas comes in either white or a very subdued yellow. Far more pieces are available for sale of this line than CorningWare's Colours and Casual Collections lines. It can be purchased in a 16 piece set or as separates. Available separates are a 1 quart serving bowl, embossed serving platter, salt and pepper or cream and sugar set, and 2 or 3 quart casserole with lid. Others are a divided vegetable dish, a 9 X 13 baking dish, and a 9 inch pie dish.
Since the 1990's after World Kitchen acquired CorningWare the bakeware has been made of non-porous stoneware instead of glass-ceramic. This puts the emphasis on the newer types of cooking available (microwave, induction, etc.) and allows for a greater variety of styles and colors. CorningWare Traditions vessels go from oven-to-table, and sometimes can function as your service as well making them your bakeware, serveware, and dinnerware. It's completely microwaveable and oven safe.

One says of the 2 quart covered round casserole dish with lid, "I just received this covered casserole dish and it's really good looking. It's nice to find an attractive casserole with a lid that's not just the standard CorningWare White -- although I have those too. The color and traditional styling of this casserole are really pretty as well."
