Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick Cookware has a hard anodized aluminum exterior and nonstick interior. The glass and stainless steel lids allow you to see food while cooking. The long handles stay cool on your stovetop, and most of the cookware allows for several different cooking techniques. Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick cookware is sold in 10, 12, and 8 piece sets, gift sets (Asian Wok, Breakfast Griddle, and Chili Pot) as well as in separate pieces.
Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick cookware is oven safe up to 450 degrees, cannot be used with metal utensils. It is NOT dishwasher safe. It comes with a lifetime warranty.

A few long time users give the product one star out of five at Amazon. One says the initial excitement wore off after finding that the nonstick surface was not long-lasting, "Initially I LOVED the cookware. Lids fit well, heated evenly, nothing stuck to the surface. After about a year, despite following all care instructions, the nonstick surfaces stopped working. Thinking I just got a defective set, I sent it back to Calphalon. No problem with the return, they replaced the pieces without hesitation. Almost a year later that set too had the same sticking issues. The skillet I have sent back several times. "I'm tired of paying shipping and dealing with the hassle of replacement. I'm not alone in my complaints. A neighbor has the same cookware and the same issues. We are both in search of new cookware. I'm not sure what it's going to be yet, but it will definitely not be Calphalon!" Reviewers are pleased overall, but many had issues with the nonstick surface, and there are several people who are not happy that the line is not dishwasher safe.

Amazon reviewers have had a few issues with this product, but many give it five stars and the overall rating for the 10 piece set is 4 out of 5 stars. A five star reviewer says, "So far I just love these pans!! You barely have to use any olive oil, which makes for healthier cooking. As for some of the negative reviews, if you read the instructions in the 1st place and realize you CANNOT put these in the dishwasher, then you will have no problems. Clean up on these Calphalon pans is a snap. Just make sure they cool completely before you put in hot soapy water."
