All Clad's MC2, or Master Chef 2 cookware is an updated version of their original Master-chef line. It offers 19 different choices of cookware. Their "workhorse" of the line- the nonstick and stainless steel fry pans- are offered at 7, 8, 10, 12 and 14 inches. All Clad has updated the line by redesigning and re-engineering it to create lightweight cookware with 18/10 stainless steel interiors and a matte finished, brushed aluminum exterior. This 3 ply bonding offers their heat distribution core, brushed exterior, and interior with a cooking surface that does not react with food.
As is customary with All-Clad, all handles are solid cast stainless steel with a patented "stay cool" technology and an ergonomic design for long cooking sessions. The lids are also made of stainless steel, and are recessed to lock in heat and moisture. This line is not recommended for dishwasher use; soap and fine powder should be used to clean it. It has a lifetime warranty.

One said, "All Clad make beautifully constructed pans that are built like tanks, and the Master Chef 2 finish ages beautifully. Some folks worry that the brushed aluminum finish will be impossible to clean, but cleans up fine with steel wool, with no worrying about scratching the shiny finish. "Best of all, if you don't bother, it still looks great, because the brushed finish looks equally good with a well used patina. And of course, it performs wonderfully too. The whole pan heats evenly and quickly, the stainless steel holds a fond well for making pan sauces, while cleaning easily when you're finished. Most users at Amazon are giving the line high marks, the 7 piece cookware set currently has 4 ½ out of 5 stars. One user remarked about how much they preferred it to another brand: "The set includes all the best basic necessary cookware to get you really immersed in the kitchen. MC2 is amazing because it is stripped to the essentials, only to function the best. I love the brushed aluminum exterior and I love the wear and scratches because it shows me how much I am using these pieces. I immediately noticed how good the heat transfer is, how well the high temp dishes come out and how easily they clean up. These are a huge step ahead of my Calphalon pots & pans. Highly recommended."
